This Museum is the Official Starting Point of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and where the world meets Kentucky. Located in the West Main District of downtown Louisville, a part of "Museum Row on Main," this Kentucky museum has an extensive collection of historical items, famous weaponry, a large Bourbon exhibit, Cool Kentucky exhibit, Lewis & Clark Experience, Ashley Judd narrated short film Kentucky Show!, bourbon tastings, Kentucky themed gift shop, and more. Famous historical items include the Bloedner Monument - the oldest Civil War monument, Teddy Roosevelt's "Big Stick", Geronimo's bow & quiver of arrows, Custer's ivory pistols, George Washington's rifle, fossils dating back to the ice age, and more.
