Craft breweries have begun popping up here in Fort Myers Florida, serving up summer ales that are light and crisp in flavor, as well as, seasonal ales that usher in the coming of a new season. Fort Myers Brewing Company
Tucked away in Gateway, FL Fort Myers Brewing Company is tucked away, surrounded by a warehouse setting. Their shop greets you with the option of walking through their front doors or walking around back to their garage-style doors, open to all during operation hours. Their dog-friendly and semi-outdoor brewery is spacious and lively, their micro-brewery usually holds a number of fun events and has plenty of games for guests looking to hang out.

Millennial Brewing
Housed just outside of Downtown Fort Myers, Millenial Brewing has a lot to offer. Their brewing doesn’t end with just making craft beer, but also extends into elixirs, Cava, and other non-alcoholic alternatives. Inside they have games to play while you hang out, including beer pong, a pool table, and some board games. Almost every day of the week they will have a food truck or event happening that draws in a large crowd.

Point Ybel Brewing
Their homey little bar greets guests with a warm feel and relaxing vibe. A large “L” shaped bar is present in the center with a few picnic-style tables in the center and a small stage in the back. Their beers truly lean toward the European style of brewing with a few Vermont-inspired beers as well. They truly range from light beers to a large variety of IPAs and a few dark beers in the mix. Their live music events and trivia, tend to bring in a generous crowd and fun times.

Coastal Dayz Brewery
Located in downtown Fort Myers Coastal Dayz, brings the feel of an island lifestyle. With Open doors, decorations that resemble the beach, and a chill environment for all, t’s no wonder it has an island feel. Here you’ll find a solid selection of light beers and easy-to-drink IPAs, complimented by free popcorn. Their small brewery melds both inside and outside so perfectly, making it a wonderful place to bring your dog and friends to.

Crazy Dingo Brewing Company
Is part of a hidden farm area in the central Fort Myers area. Here you’ll be greeted by a dirt road, a fresh fruit stand, and a beautiful outdoor hang-out spot. Their fully outdoor brewery is made up of many different pieces, including a small stage, a small bar area where you can grab your drinks then find a seat, and plenty of seating. Here they grow their own fruit, so naturally, the brewery would contain a wide variety of fruit-infused beers for patrons to try.

Palm City Brewing Company
Hidden in San Carlos off Alico, back in the warehouse and industrial area is where you’ll find Palm City Brewing Company. Their fully indoor bar, includes large tables, seats at the bar, some games, and a large projector displaying sports games or popular TV shows. Here they take their beer tasting very seriously and offer guests the option of ordering an 18 glass flight of beers. They take pride in providing quality porters and NE-style IPAs.

Smokin’ Oyster Brewery
Are they a bar? are they a restaurant? or are they a brewery? The answer is…. they are all 3. Located on Fort Myers Beach, Smokin’ Oyster Brewery is a mostly outdoor covered bar, with plenty of tables and seats at the bar for patrons to relax in. Their specialty dishes involve a large amount of seafood and aside from their beers, they do have a full liquor bar to serve up some frozen cocktails and non-frozen cocktails. They have an extensive guest tap, as well as, an assortment of their own beers on tap or in cans and bottles for guests to purchase.

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse
Known mostly for being a popular pizzeria, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse is also known for its wide selection of craft beers. Aside from pizza, their restaurant also offers guests a wide list of food options to choose from along with a full liquor bar to help “wet the whistle”. Their beers range significantly from dark stouts to light ales, they have a little something for every beer lover to enjoy.

Beer Flights
These places may not sell their own beer, but have a vast collection of beer samples for anyone to partake in. They usually have a tap list of all the local breweries here in Fort Myers and then some from other regions of Florida. Their tap lists are usually very long and include well over 10 taps to select from. Craft beer bars are also great places to grab a bite of food and catch a sports game for anyone casually drinking a beer or 2. But, one of the more important items each one carries is a flight or typically 4 beers, that allow you (The guest) to try either 4 beers from local breweries here in Southwest Florida or to sample beers from around the nation …. or you can put 2 local beers in a head-to-head competition with 2 non-local beers and determine whose is better.

Their bar and restaurant give guests the opportunity to have a flight of beer and eat a delicious pub-style meal. Aside from their products, each one holds a variety of different games to play with your friends while at their establishment, and on certain nights, they will host events like trivia or karaoke. Marlins Brewhouse
Features 44 taps of locally-focused craft beer, making it one of Fort Myers’ largest beer gardens. They take absolute pride in providing a great local beer selection, but also quality food. Although you have the option of the attached Chronic Taco, Marlins Brewhouse makes its own high-quality pub cuisine loaded with burgers, pretzels, and wings.
