Catch A Local Sports Game

Sports fans can catch spring training games of the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox at Hammond Stadium and JetBlue Park. You can also enjoy hockey games and other sporting events at the Hertz Arena or Alico Arena at FGCU.

JetBlue Park at Fenway South

Jetblue Park at Fenway South is part of the Boston Red Sox training and development facility. You can bring the family to catch a spring training game or keep an eye out for special events happening at the facility. You’ll find that many concerts, fairs, and car shows are held throughout the year on the exterior lawn of the park.

Hammond Stadium, five additional playing fields, and the Twins Player Development Academy are all located inside the Lee County Sports Complex. It also serves as the home of two Twins minor league organizations, the Single-A Southeast League’s Ft. Myers Mighty Mussels and the Rookie-level Florida Complex League Twins. In addition, the complex has four state-of-the-art softball fields that are used by university and community teams throughout the year. Late in the 1994 spring season, the primary stadium was christened Bill Hammond Stadium in honor of the Deputy County Commissioner who was essential in having the Twins facility completed.
